Zara Men's Spring/Summer Collection 2011

 
 

Here's just some of the men's collection for Spring/Summer of this year. 
Now, I quite like this collection. I must say like the colours in this collection I know they have to fit the season, but these really do! Maybe it's just my love for colour... 


Anyways, never have been a fan of guys in tight clothing, but surprisingly I'm actually liking this especially the model with the baggy cardigan in image three. Looks quite nice, I think.

Outfit idea #2

An outfit that my dear friend is going to wear :D Thought I'd post it and hopefully if my convincing is good I might get a post with my friend modelling it ;p


After speaking with my friend about the dress - she was not entirely impressed. She said that the dress itself was itchy. She took a photo and What'sapped me what the dress looked like - Seems like the lighting in the photo made that dress look amazing. But anyway, I'm not here to discuss the highs and lows of ASOS's products but I thought I'd share what I've been told :)

Olive and Orange

Olive and Orange is a brand that I just discovered a moment ago. Orla Kiely, the designer behind the label, has, I believe produced a wonderful spring/summer collection. Very feminine.

Very simple.

I especially like the last shoot. The pink dress with a fantastic multi-coloured cardigan I think works well but it does draw a lot of attention to the cardigan as opposed to the dress on the right with the nude colour cardigan. But then again, they are two totally different dresses.

As you've probably noticed, I'm quite interested in fashion in season collections and on runways. Not to say that the clothes in store is useless but I just find that the ones modelled give us a better 'feel' of the style the designer was trying to portray as opposed to just looking at a solemn garment. 

I do like the image above. The Plaid Pants - though its the Autumn/Winter collection, I'm liking it dearly. 

 

This here is from the store called Shopbop. Never heard of them before but I thought I'd post a little something about them. What you see here is their Autumn/Winter Collection. Didn't mean to post any autumn/winter collections before their time but that's all I could find.

The 'Thakoon' style in the image above is perhaps what made me want to post that runway look. I have no idea why, but I just love the retro colours in it. The style of the dress is a bit frisky for me, but the style ...though a bit retro 80s, well I think works very well. 

The photoshoot below is still from ShopBop. I wanted to post them because I loved the colours of the clothes - Well the photography did attract me to posting this - but I love the style. The dresses and skirts, I think are quite cute - nice length and I think the style of the blacks skirt is real nice. Marilyn Monroe it reminds me of! Ha!

Men + Women

Someone asked me today, "why don't you post the men's collections as well?" To be very honest, it never crossed my mind. But after thinking about it, why not? I mean men love fashion just as much as women do, they just go about it in a completely different way. So to the person who challenged me - thanks if your reading :D And here you go :)


This is River Island's ready to wear collection for 2011 both men and women :)
Very rarely have I come across a collection where I liked everything on it - but yes, I do! In both the Men's and Women's collections there isn't anything that I do not like :D 
But it is a shame though - when I walk into River Island, I'm yet to see some of these clothes :/

My blue day

This is my playsuit I bought from boohoo.com. I thought I'd wear it to see how it looked and as you can see its verry short. Obviously that's the idea of a playsuit but when I tried it on without the leggings .. Well you can imagine the details that would be exposed. Not the way forward :| 
But anyway, the material feels nice 100% Viscoe ... I'm learning my materials slowly :D

These are just a few playsuits I found through the website store Forever21. I like the patterning on all three of them especially the red one - the shoulder cut and the sleeves look real nice. I like the last one because of the speckled look but I'm not too sure about that zip smack bang in the middle of the outfit - unless it's used to get into the garment.


But, anyway, that's just my thoughts on them.
