Urban Outfitters

On a search for a new collection to post when I discovered Urban Outfitters collection. It isn't their newest stock but some looked pretty. I've never ventured to this store but I do like the first dress. I think I'm on a polka dot phase right now... hmm.

But anyway, this small collection resembles fragments of vintage especially the left image below. I do like what looks like a high waisted skirt and the printed t-shirt, quite clean and quite cool. But I'm in two minds about the clogs - never really liked them, struggling to get to like them..  Perhaps one day I might change my mind!

I do apologise for the photos to be smaller than usual. But anyway, Urban Outfitters spring/summer 2011

Been a long time

Cardigan - H&M; Necklace - Topshop; Blouse - Primark; Jeans - Primark and Bracelets - Primark

When I was thinking of a title for this post, Lemar's song - 50/50 came into my mind, you know the part - 'been a long time say you missed me' - that part. I haven't posted an outfit in a while! I have been slacking and that's kind of how the song popped into my mind, even though the song is in a complete different context!
But anyway, this outfit is just something I quickly put together on a rush to uni. I wasn't sure if cream and white go  - do they really go together? but I just thought, it isn't too warm out so I'll fling on a cardi just in case.

I am going to make a promise that when I do go on my summer shopping spree I'll be posting more outfits. I haven't been feeling some of the things I've seen in store. Perhaps I should look harder :/ I'm seeing a lot of floral and other varieties of patterns I don't know the name of in stores, but don't get me wrong, some a really nice, but some are just over the top with their designs.

Now these two dresses from Topshop are something that I am looking for this summer, not too extravagant with pattern or colour. I like the cut of these dresses because they are at a nice length and the skirt isn't too clingy, so there's something I'm off to add to my shopping list. :)

Summer Style

As usual, I go browsing the net in my 'spare time' for something new to post. Well I haven't been too successful there but I did discover a new up and coming designer called Charlotte Taylor. Not much info on her but I thought I'd post her summer 2011 collection because I thought it looked pretty.

I love her style, though I'm not a fan of the middle part of the dress on the left, I love the style of the dress despite it. I haven't been able to find anywhere to purchase these clothes but they have given me some style ideas to look for during my summer shopping. :D

ASOS Collection 2011

Image one                    Image two

I know it's a little late to post ASOS collections for this year but I thought I would anyway. I like this composition of these shoes especially the one on the right.

Image one
ASOS Haven Colourblock Platform, £95 x
ASOS Highway Raffia Platform, £45  x (Only the black one left)
ASOS Headline Strap Platform, £50 x
Image two
We Love This Leg-Lengthening Nude Shoe (not available on ASOS anymore)
Polka Dot Scarf From Asos x (very similar)

I'm not even sure if ASOS has any of these clothes but I thought they were really summary. The photo on the right is so cute. The pleats, for me, will take some getting used to but I quite like it. There needs to be more colours though - quite dark for our English summer!

I do like this playsuit though. I think it's real cute and can be dressed up or down... Well perhaps worn more casually than formally. I like the photo on the right because of the trousers. Yep I'm on a hunt for some real decent trousers, though they look slightly like hareem pants.

Anyway, ASOS Collection 2011.

Matalan Spring Collection 2011

A little collection from Matalan's Spring Collection 2011. These are just a sample of what they have. I do like the third image (below) quite nice from Matalan - nice a summery.

Prints of that leopard

Once again, I have not written where I got the source of this photoshoot from. I think I need to write more things down. 19 and forgetful? Oh dear.
But anyways, I love this shoot for two reasons. Well perhaps more, but I love the model's fierceness. It is actually portrayed through the image and looks somewhat real!

I'm not quite sure the relevance of the scenery but hey! That must have something to do with being an amateur perhaps I haven't developed my 'lens eye' as yet. But anyway, I thought I would show this photoshoot because I love the photography as well. I mean can you really see the leopard prints standing out? Or even if it does, your eyes are drawn to the model - right?

Hmm, well I can't even say much about the designer or even the photographer, because I know not from whence they came but what I can say about this shoot is I would like to do a shoot like this. I mean not in front of the camera but I would love to experience with photographer's experience - and frustration - of doing a shoot for a day.

Anyways, here is the unknown photoshoot, with the unknown model, designer and photographer.
My apologies.

Shopping List

ASOS Spot Shirt Dress, £35

This summer, it's all about dresses, skirts and play/jumpsuits. I want to find the "right" clothes for the summer, but I don't know if there is a 'right' jumpsuit out there - but 'right' I mean one that just fits well and looks amazing, perfect patterns, length and cut. But I'm just going to settle for what I see as I am not a seamstress!

I did see a bright orange jumpsuit from Boohoo but I'm disappointed that it's gone :( I was procrastinating way too much. But ASOS now, they've got a dress that I am instantly in love with.

Primark Red Dress, In stores only.
Carvela Alpha Platform Court Shoe, £130

Well, I must say that this dress is great for the summer, nice a bright, light material from looking at the picture. But what looks like flowers sewn on at the bottom of the dress (I don't know technical terms) doesn't quite do it for me. The shoes that I discovered I think are amazingly hot. I was looking for a pair of shoes that would go with this red dress - strangely enough it doesn't but would it really go with the polka dot dress? Hmm

Caught By My Attention

Had another browse today and what did I come across? This photoshoot! I believe it's from an online Spanish catalogue called Stradivarius but anyway, I thought I'd post it on here and just admire it even more :D

For a while now I have been searching for a decent pair of trousers, but I am still in denial because I'm seeing real cheap quality that the shops are charging ridiculous prices for... I don't think so!
I do like the outfit on the left. It's quite sophisticated, neat. And the colours work well for the summer if you're going for the smart casual look as opposed to the outfit on the right which is quite laid back.

The outfits below (as well as the ones above) to me look quite warm - all trousers based but I do like the red. Nice shade for the summer. It's all about the colours this summer! All through Winter everyone and everything is dull so yes I will get excited about a splash of colour here and there!

But anyway, this is the Stradivarius catalogue collection for Spring/Summer 2011.

Bershka Spring Collection 2011

Just on another browse when I found Bershka's Spring and Summer Collection for 2011. I thought it would be kind just to share with you what I have seen. Bare in mind it isn't all of the collection, but it's just enough to get the 'Bershka feel.'
I haven't known about Bershka too long but I do know that they are a fairly good shop with some real nice clothes. I'm pretty sure this collection will do well. I'll have to pop down to Westfield to have a little browse because their online store is a bit confusing :/
