H&M Spring Summer 2011 Lookbook part 2

Part two of the H&M Lookbook 2011. So I decided to split them up into two because I thought the first section was dedicated to just dresses/jumpsuit. I thought they looked really nice to be displayed without this shoot which were creative? is that the right word for the description of the shoot.

Personally, I prefer part one but this shoot is okay. I like the skirt in image two think works really well but I'm not sure that this shoot jumps out like the first. I know one thing for sure that denim is back though haha!

Uterqüe Spring/Summer Collection 2011

I have recently discovered this is a collection by Uterqüe - a Spanish company. They use quite light colours for their summer collection which I think would work really well on a warm day.

H&M Spring Summer 2011 Lookbook part 1

This is part one of H&M Spring Summer collection. I thought I'd break it up a little because they've got quite a lot of new material!
I wanted to showcase the dresses and jump suits for now.
The only thing with the photo shoot is we can't really see how long the dresses are in particular. I've bought a maxi dress from H&M and it pretty much sweeps the floor so I'm guessing these maxi's are a good them. Perfect for wanting something cool to wear (especially as London is finally warming up).
I think H&M was either playing it safe by only including one printed dress and keeping the rest plain.  Perhaps they were trying not to follow the other stores. Either way, I quite like image two.

The jumpsuit in image three reminds me of Primark's version that I have posted earlier [click here] but H&M has a thicker waistband.

Anyway, H&M Spring/Summer Collection Lookbook (Dresses/Jumpsuits)

Formal and sophisticated

I thought I'd try something very plain and simple. A simple plain white top from H&M, skirt from Krisp and belt from Primark.
The shoot below is something that I came across that backs up the very plain and simple outfit that I was reflecting.

This is a shoot from a collection that I don't know where. It's really bugging me, if you know do let me know please.
Anyway, I chose to post this shoot because I liked how it wasn't over exaggerated neither was it the usual summer collection - like the colours aren't all bright or light colours.
I do like the shoes in the first shoot and I do like the block colours in the second shoot.

The outfits aren't too extravagant but
The mustard jacket and yellow top is perhaps the brightest out of the shoot so I'm wondering if this summer collection is moving from the common bright colours for the darker colours.

Present LONDON

Now when I saw this Lookbook collection, I was like wow! Us Brits have a certain style that I only noticed it this photo shoot. This is a shoot by Present LONDON

There is a fresh look to this shoot. I like the way the stylist has mixed the formal look with the pumps which makes it more smart casual-ish.

I do like this outfit here. the checked blazer is a first - never seen anything like that before so I thought I had to include it in the collection but as a whole, It does bring out the outfit. Strangely it completes it because if it were a plain black blaze - wouldn't he just be wearing a suit with a shirt and jumper??

I like it mate!!

Alexander McQueen

A couple of weeks back, my friend - Jasmin and Hodan decided to venture around Mayfair, Knightbridge, the posher sides of the capital. So we came across Harvey Nichols a large department store in a few cities around the UK.
We went inside, but for whatever reason I didn't take many photos - it waas the Alexender McQueen section at the front of the store that caught my eye and I  thought I'd post it now.
Let me know what you think.

I apologise for the reflections - something I have to work on

I do like this dress - as crazy as it seems. I think its just the back of the dress shooting out like that. And the colour, its a nice subtle colour, nothing fancy, just something that could be worn with killer heels! (Not that you could even wear this dress to an event but hey! It's a suggestion).

The patterns remind me of a kaleidoscope...

I went to park for my friend's birthday picnic and as usual I took my camera along with me. I thought to post them because the park is really pretty and neatly kept and of course to show off my wildlife/nature photography!

Regents Park, London.
