Focus it!

Good morning/afternoon! I thought to add another post to the blog. This post is about composition. I haven't done a graphic design lesson in a long while - since I left college actually and so I felt it was necessary to experiment again. 

All I can remember from second year of college was my tutor going on about was to "think about the concept...what are you trying to say through your design."

 I think its just the way he went on really helped me with a lot of things like my designs, my blog and now my photographs. So I thought, let me go for something different. Previously I have been posting lots about collections for the summer collection for this year and I will keep posting those when I see them, but I thought let me post something different! So experimenting with jewellery and accessories - not very expensive ones either just ones from Primark, Topshop and ASOS was the answer. 

So yeah, compositions and all that jazz :p

I do like the seaside

Now this is what inspires me. Brighton. Scenery. The seaside isn't something that I see every day so I sobered as much of it up through my chosen photographs. No, I was not present in any of them as I thought it was not important to capture myself in any photo but of the scenery in Brighton :D

As you know, I am an amateur photographer trying to get getting to the professional level and so I captured bits of the wildlife (as seen in images one and two) the flea market - a vintage store (the photos of the brooches and the satchel) and parts of the town like the fountain and the Pavilion. 

I thought it'd be something to share with you all especially as I've been bad and not posted all week :/ Oh well.

Gold shine

I really wanted to show off this chain where it would be noticed but I wasn't sure how. So, I thought to mix it with some brown and a pair of high waisted shorts - Sorry I didn't get the full shot in. 

Anyway, I have been thinking a lot recently about going on a shopping spree and constantly "keeping up with the Jones" so to speak. To me, that is what I thought fashion is about - having the latest of everything just to 'look good'. But, I have realised, that is not the case. Fashion can be as personal as a diary.

I mean look around, 1950s fashion is back with the huge glasses, which has become even more popular by grime rapper Tinie Tempah. The modernised tea dresses, shown through ASOS's model below, and 1980s retro style prints have all trickled back into the 2011's fashion along the with doctor martins boots.  

But that's just fashion in the UK and many parts of Europe. So fashion goes around in circles and so I don't really have anything to worry about as all the things that I buy now or have bought will always be in fashion. Took me a while to discover, but I got there eventually. Haha!

Give me a whirrl

Just testing my camera skills once again and I do apologise for being on the phone whilst doing this shoot. 

I was packing some clothes just to put away in my suitcase for my holiday next month and I thought, let me try and see what works together with the clothes at the back of my wardrobe. I found the dress from Tesco - F&F, the cardigan from Primark, the belt from Primark also and the necklace from Topshop. 

Bershka's Men Collection 2011

Came across the men's collection for Berksha 2011. Real nice collection. Let me know what you think.

I really like this outfit. I've never any guy go for colours like this - and yes he is a model but I think its good for a few more guys to experiment! 

I like the way the blue and green don't clash here. Or maybe it's the background that doesn't make it look as hard hitting..

H&M Photoshoot.

I came across this shoot the other day, but I didn't want to post it as I've noticed my blog is becoming very, High street dominated. I am really annoyed that I haven't found anything that is eye catching but hey! That's how it goes. So I thought I'd post something that reveals both men's and women's. I do like image two in both men's and women's as they're really quite summary and clean. I think the yellow sandals are nice in image four for the ladies....

Primark Collection

Well I must say that in the midst of having a deadline tomorrow, I've found myself posting about Primark! Well I think it was more shock than anything else. They have a nice Lookbook collection. Let's just hope that it will be as nice in stores aye?

Oh - for those who don't know what Primark is, it has become the UK's most popular and convenient clothing store that sells everything for a decent price.

So here's the collection that is to be released May - June 2011. 

 

 

Looking at this collection there is quite a bit going on here. Maxi dress/skirts, contrasting colours, boy, Primark really went for it this time! But its still nice to have a little browse through the shop to find something that's different.. well slightly different from other shops.
