River Island Autumn/Winter Collection 2011

Now gentlemen, I will post for you the autumn/winter collection as soon as I find a preview!! But as for now, it's the ladies.

I like the collection presented here for you today. Once again, its a mix of the ages. The jacket in image 5 is something that I rather agree with. I like the full collar definitely will keep one warm during the winter.

Primark Autumn Winter Collection 2011

So I have found another collection! Woo! Finally, the high street stores are posting more of their collections for this autumn/winter season. Primark has some good stuff - lets just hope its also in the shops...

Okay, so lets dive in. I do like this outfit, but I'm quite happy to just have the dress on without the similar colour accessories. I would be happy to go with black accessories because I would want the dress to scream out loud where ever I went in that dress really.I do like the look of the dress, but I think it is something that I might have to try on before I bought it because it looks like it only fits a certain figure ;)

The bag is really cute but personally, I'm not sure about the dress - think its the sleeves that doesn't do it for me but that's just a personal import.

Now, I like the outfits here. The coat firstly has an amazing shade of orange throughout it which to me looks rather nice :D I like the way that Primark have included the belt - not sure if it comes with it, but it works rather well.
But oh my my my. The jacket in the 5th image, personally I think is great and I might have to wonder to Primark when its in the shops to purchase that. I love the combination with the jumper and the trousers - quite usual low tone autumn colours (I don't even know if that made sense) but you get where I'm coming from.

I've done a lot of writing, which defeats the purpose of my blog being a photo blog! But last comments on this collection and then I'll let you enjoy the rest. I think the brown jacket in image 7 is sexy! or maybe it's just the way the stylist has put the outfit together - they've definitely sold it to me!
Hurry up autumn/winter collection - Hurry!

Zara Mens Winter Collection 2011

Thank you Trashness

I'm on a search for Zara's Mens collection for the autumn/winter but its a slow progress so bare with me.
So far I have found this one photo of this model. I like his style. The leather jacket and the clipped back hair  - who would have thought they would be together in one outfit? Ahh well this models boots is something I want to grab hold of even if it is just for men! Ha I will find my size. I quite like the grey hint at the top .. but maybe I need to see it in person.

Quick question - Just for the guys: What do guys carry in such big bags? Women have reasons but guys? Really?! I'd like to know your answers.

Anyways, I can't even call this a collection - Zara Men's AW solo 2011 ;)

Kezia Frederick

Photography: Shiba Huizer
Designer: Kezia Frederick

While blog jumping I landed on a website by Kezia Frederick a fashion and textile designer. The blogs that I were jumping from (one for example was 'I am the nu black') were blogs that promoted the black culture in England, America, the West Indies and Africa. These blogs really inspired me to post something about the black fashion designers that hardly anyone knows about. Being from a West Indian heritage myself, I would love to see more black designers promoted to the status that most English and American designers are currently holding.

From the outfits that I have seen, this designer is clearly showing off their African heritage that has been blended with their English living. Here are just a few of the designs. I love the patterns that reflect the traditional African robes - note I don't know much about the traditional clothing so do help me out - and of course I love the colours!!

I present to you, Kezia Frederick.
