Experiment #1

I just wanted to post my outfit that I am experimenting with. I like 50% of the way but I'm not even sure what the other 50% is saying. I'm crossed between the two.

Let me know your thoughts.

Zara Spring 2011

I'm pretty sure there are from this collection but these are just some of what I have seen from Zara's 2011 Spring collection.

The suits Moodboard

I was having a browse the other day for some jumpsuits for my holiday later on this year when I discovered Tesco direct store. Completely and utterly shocked at the dresses so I had a browse at the jumpsuits.



I'm not entirely a fan the excessive floral printing but I do like this playsuit. I wanted to experiment with a moodboard which just shows what I am feeling at that time. 

Pretty

I was looking at these earrings, even though my ears aren't pierced, I love the styles! The little tea pot wants are so cute!

I must admit that I would still buy them but use them for something else - kind of what fashion 'Guru' Gok Wan would do. "Expressing creativity."

I'm guessing that these earrings are quite small as the camera has been zoomed in so much. I think they still would be a great way of emphasising an outfit that is really boring.

Just another day

On Saturday I decided to change my look and go for a more summery look. I didn't take a long shot of this outfit perhaps because I was bit scared of the camera being sideways on the Tripod.

But this outfit was from Primark :O I was looking for some more of these Chiffon blouses (I think that's what it's called.) I did find some other variations of these blouses.

I like these two blouse - from ASOS - a store that I haven't been to in a while. I love image two because of the colours. It's perhaps one of few long selves blouse out there.

I am looking for more Summery clothes and these blouse are from the one and only Zara. They are the light and definitely for the Summer. I like both of these blouse.

Playing with Photography

So as you know I've got a new camera and it's a lot more complex than the Nikon D50 I previously owned. I took it out today as a means of experimenting with any vulnerable person and today it was Hodan haha! These photos happen to be her hands and jewellery but Hodan! I have to thank you very much :D

I am quite proud of myself for getting the hang of this camera and I needed to post something about it! What this space there will be more photos of outfits coming soonish.

This Vintage Look

So I was browsing through ASOS when I realised how much I am beginning to like this Vintage look. When I saw people getting on the train, especially when I'm in East London, I usually give an usual glance at their bravery. But now I'm beginning to understand - fashion is an art.

Took me a while, but I got there. These photos are just a few of what I like - Nothing too extravagant but something that just...works!

Topshop Spring/Summer Collection 2011

Now that I have just discovered Topshop's Spring/Summer collection I thought to write a little something about it.

To be honest, I did not enjoy this shoot as much as I expected. I like the poses and the photo shoot as a whole but I was not happy with the style Topshop is going to produce this Spring. I mean after strolling past Topshop today seeing a really nice manikin model, I had high expectations here! Slightly disappointed with that shoot but when I discovered this shoot,(below) I'm guessing it's an extended shoot for the Spring/Summer collection and I was impressed.

To me, this collection look like a mix of the contemporary and the 60s/70s. I'm pretty sure the 70s was that time of floral prints, maxi skirts and baggy clothing so have a look at what Topshop is calling it their Swedish Summer...

I like the red photo shoot especially the outfit on top. I liked the outfit up until I saw the shoes - open toe shoes and white socks? Hmm maybe it's just me, but I can't adjust that.

At least the shoot below that one got it right! The stripy high waisted skirt with the red belt is great and she's wearing shoes that compliment her outfit.

The outfits in the middle are quite nice to look at but I'm not sure if I'd wear it as a whole. I really like the skirt on the top image. Amazing patterns when you see if closely. I like the length, even though my skirts NEVER go past my knees like that.

That's just what I've seen of Topshop's new collection it maybe better, it maybe worst.

On the Road

I have been such a bad blogger! A whole 10 days without a word? My apologies - really! Seems like I need to get my priorities straighten out... quickly!!

So in my 10 day "break" I've had a little search around, and I've seen some fascinating street style fashion shoots.

Front Row From Paris, Elle Style

These images are in no particular order but what I found from Elle Street Style.

There were a lot of amazing

styles for inspiration but I chose these three because I liked them over the others on the website.

I've only seen the single coloured capes usually in the camel colour or black which look really good. But the cape from the first image, it looks really good. Maybe it's the fact that it is not just a cape, but its slightly more styled than the ones I've seen.

These are two of many capes I have seen for example.

Don't get me wrong I still like the plain look for when you want to go for a simple outfit, but seeing that particular checked cape has made my morning :D

I liked the second image (Image 2) because of the Faux Far. I like the way that the fur coat makes a simple outfit looking great along with the Longchamp Bag. :)

I chose the last image, Image 3 because I just liked the whole outfit. The bag is quite nice and big! I think big bags are always better.

These images are just a few of the street styles. I will be back to post more and a lot more frequently as well!
